Hlengiwe Mbambo was taught by a family member to translate a traditional craft of beading into a clever way of embellishing these simple canvas shoes! Her mom sources the South African made shoes from nearby Pinetown for her!  She was making them for members of her local community - often for special functions such as weddings, etc., and they are being sold just as she makes them.  The only difference is that she has made them in white for us too. The ladies in her community walk the dusty roads, and so she usually uses black canvas shoes only.

The shoes are hand decorated so each pair may differ slightly from the ones pictured
